Just finished up a new wood carving of a wood spirit or sortof a green man. I power-carved it from a found piece of driftwood on a creek bank here in the Ozarks. I often go there with my wife to collect cool pieces to create art.
This guy was carved by hand using my old old Dremel rotary tool. He turned out great with his stoic face projecting a mysterious wisdom. He has a message for you to hear.
First he was dark and it was difficult to see exactly what was going on there... what is that? I soon added this grey with all of the meaning that it carries. A dry brush technique was quick but powerful.
He's finished off with a shimmering clear; a dragonfly glaze made by FolkArt. Nice, very nice.
